Dr. Craig Gosse is a licensed Psychiatrist who is widely recognized as a specialist in Occupational Psychiatry. He has studied and worked at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ottawa General Hospital, University of Toronto and Harvard Medical School; Dr. Gosse has also completed numerous CME Programs. He has worked as Consultant Staff at QE II Health Science Center in Halifax, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University, has been the Director of the Psychiatric Outpatient Department at Camp Hill Medical Center in Halifax, has lectured in Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and was the Senior Staff Psychiatrist at the Queen Street Mental Health Center in Toronto.
In his capacity as a consultant, he has provided a variety of Occupational Mental Health and Psychiatry services across Canada to industry, insurers and Workers’ Compensation Boards, in the areas of organizational behavior analysis, labor relations mediation, team development, stress management, workplace absence management, disability assessment and management, independent medical assessments, psychiatric clinical consultant services, case management, and vocational and rehabilitation planning. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues related to industry and the workplace; in particular dealing with workplace emotional trauma (PTSD) and emotional/psychiatric issues arising from workplace physical injuries and motor vehicle accidents. In April 2019 Dr. Gosse joined Homewood Health where he leads the Occupational Psychiatry Department.
